If You’ve Ever Been A 29 Or 31 Year Old Woman… Watch This

Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome, a.k.a. Garfunkel and Oates, play the same woman, 2 years apart. Kate plays the 29 year old version of the woman, Riki plays the 31 year old… and her story is oh so different.

Can you relate?

PS – This is a great prequel to the Perimenopause video we shared for the 40-somethings in the crowd… being a woman is so complexly awesome at any age, isn’t it?!

Talk about telling it like it is (or was)!! Every woman should watch this video! Hilarious, but OH so true.

So appropriate for AMERICAN women! Thank God I saw much of the world in the USN and can see how skewed US Femmes ARE!:(

Well presuming that all that matters to women this age is getting married and having babies in a timely fashion, then yeah, I guess this video does accurately reflect what “it’s like” to be a female in her late twenties and subsequently early thirties. Really the song is a gross oversimplification that reflects nothing about the true complexity of womanhood, and I hope that is obvious to everyone watching. If exposing the unnecessary inner discord that society imposes on women progressing into their thirties is indeed the critique the women singing are attempting to make, I do wish they would make it more obvious, because I think most people will only have a cheap laugh at the overplayed sexist stereotype of the desperate/bitter 31-year-old.

I actually liked the song; couldn’t understand half the words.
