A month ago, we proudly broke the news on an ambitious social media campaign, Women On 20s, that aims to get a woman’s face on U.S. paper currency for the first time ever.
We are thrilled to have been the very first media outlet to tell their inspiring story, and we are equally thrilled that we weren’t the only one to cover this great catalyst of potential historic change. Since our feature story ran, Women On 20s, and the two women you should know behind the campaign, Barbara Ortiz Howard and Susan Ades Stone, have been covered by almost every major national and local news organization in the free world – The Washington Post, The New Yorker, BuzzFeed, and even The Onion (to name just a few).
And this new Women On 20s video, released just yesterday, proves that it’s not just adults who find it perplexing that there are no women on our paper currency. Even the youngest of young Americans are now quizzically asking… where are all the girls on the money?
Watch and then vote for the inspiring American woman hero you want to see as the first to have her face on the U.S. $20 bill.
