This past July, GoldieBlox, an innovative toy company out to show the world that girls deserve more choices than dolls and princesses, got our attention and made us cheer when they sent a gang of pint-sized powerhouse girls into Toys R Us to disrupt the pink aisles (see the video here).
In yet another lesson in brilliant marketing and the power of creativity, the brand, led by founder Debbie Sterling, a WYSK and Stanford engineer, has produced a second empowering spot. This time they recruited three young girls and that guy who made OK Go’s famous Rube Goldberg machine to turn an average home into a massive, magical contraption. The result is AWESOME!
Help GoldieBlox Get To The Super Bowl
If you love this spot as much as we do, here’s how you can have a hand in making this post title a reality…
GoldieBlox, a brand that was initially told they “couldn’t survive in mass stores next to Barbie”, is now a FINALIST in the Intuit Small Business Big Game contest. The finalist with the most public votes wins the Grand Prize… to have their TV commercial aired during the BIG GAME: Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014.
