This eye opening video, inspired by and based on the book Alone Together by Sherry Turkle, looks at the connection between Social Networks and loneliness. It points out, “We’re collecting friends like stamps, not distincting quantity versus quality and converting the deep meaning and intimacy of friendship with exchanging photos and chat conversations.”

WATCH… in 4 minutes you’ll see the real consequences of the new “social” order and it will make you rethink what it REALLY means to be lonely (even if you have 500+ Facebook “friends”).

The short video tells a very true story of today’s social networking. But, the narrator or voice on the video should have spoken more slowly. I think the words would have had more of an impact had he spoken more slowly, and with greater emphasis. My guess is that this type of speaking is also a product of modern times – say as much as you can as quickly as you can.
