Teacher Holds An Experiment With Students To Illustrate Gender Gap In Congress

New Jersey teacher Nicholas Ferroni is a vocal supporter of equal rights in and out of the classroom. Recently, he held a little experiment with his students to illustrate the gender gap in Congress.

“Men make up 80% of Congress, giving them the majority vote on issues that directly affect women,” Nicholas explains in the video. “I wonder how a man would feel being part of a group that was made up of 80% women?”

So in his experiment, Ferroni turns the tables by filling the classroom with 80% female students and 20% male students who are told they are there to vote on school policies proposed by fellow classmates.

Watch and listen as these boys realize what it’s like to be outnumbered. It’s a great experiment and yields the kind of results you might expect, but even better.

  • Really dumb, because professionals =/= students

    • and these policies are made 100% so that it favors women and defavors men, these things don’t apply in Congress
