Body-positive activist and artist Shanthony Exum, aka Miss Eaves, has released the new summer anthem, Thunder Thighs. The single is from her new album Feminasty, due out on August 4th.

Shanthony is the creator of The Every Body Project, which showcases diverse body types to combat the “body image issues that arise from the media’s narrow portrayal of beauty.”

“The song was inspired by me being a thicker woman all of my life and having thick girl problems,” Shanthony said in an interview. “This track is really about me embracing my body but also finding the humor in issues thicker people face.”

The video, which was co-directed with April Maxey, features an array of awesome women of every size and shape dancing around Brooklyn streets, and wearing what they feel comfortable and confident in.

“Summer is hot AF and sometimes it is more comfortable to wear shorts, I want people everywhere (women, men, non-binary folk) to feel good about being in the body they have today.”
