The writers and artists at Bluewater Productions, the creators of the wildly popular, biographical comic book series Female Force are at it again. In their most recent release, Female Force Activists, they have collected the stories of four women whose activism has led to making the world a better place. No capes required.

“We wanted to showcase the strong women of today’s society that have inspired generations and shaped the culture of today,” said Bluewater Publisher Darren Davis in a company press release.

The 96-page graphic novel celebrates Gloria Steinem as the leader of the equal rights movement, Melinda Gates for her philanthropic gifts, Arianna Huffington for “proving women can be as powerful as men in the news business,” and actress Angelina Jolie for her humanitarian outreach.

Past issues of the “Female Force” franchise have included actors, politicians, authors, and musicians such as Hillary Clinton, Julia Child, Ellen DeGeneres, Sonia Sotomayor, Michelle Obama, Gabrielle Giffords and Condoleezza Rice, to just name a few.
