The Kaikottikali, one of the most popular South Indian folk dances from the state of Kerala, is usually performed by just a dozen women, but this one involved more than 5,000 dancers (5, 211 to be exact) and set a new Guinness World Record at this year’s Thanima 2015 arts festival.

The thousands of women rehearsed the program under the direction of choreographer Ms. Jitha Binoy for almost a year, and the result is just mesmerizing.
