“Summer is the time when one sheds one’s tensions with one’s clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all’s right with the world.” – Ada Louise Huxtable

I really dislike Labor Day Weekend. Not because of the tribute it represents to all workers, but because it has become the mark of the “end of summer”. We have been programmed to accept that “this is it”. Get in all the vacations, barbeques, parties, etc. that you can because cold weather is coming. People begin to think about warmer clothing, and suddenly stores are decorated for the Christmas holidays. It’s almost as if everything warm and sunny comes to an end. Too fast – just too fast. I wish the warm feeling that summer gives each of us (not the humidity – just the sunniness) could last all year long.

This looks so delightful! Wish summer would keep going, I miss it already.
