After passing homeless people on her way to school each day, Khloe Thompson launched her own charity, Khloe Kares, to help vulnerable women in her community.

Khloe’s first project is called Kare Bags. She and her grandmother design and make sturdy bags and fill them with daily essentials including soap, lotion, toothbrush/paste, feminine hygiene products, socks, etc.  She then personally gives out the handmade bags to women living on the street near her Southern California home.

In this great video Khloe says she hopes her work will inspire others to be more accepting of the homeless community. “Don’t be so afraid of them – they’re just a normal person like you.”

Next up for Khloe? A toy drive that will supply toys to kids living in group homes.
