We are completely blown away by this mesmerizing 3-minute video journey through 500 years of female portraits. By carefully weaving 90 classic western paintings together, creator Philip Scott Johnson shows us the evolution of art, and the changing concept of beauty. It’s just amazing!

See this list for all the paintings used in the video.

This is beautiful and mesmerizing indeed. However, I’m sadden to see that the women along my line of western heritage are not represented (or were not included/selected) in the 500 years summary of women’s portraits. Lacking a little color (Native Indian, Afro American, Latin, Asian, Italian etc) in my opinion.
